Richard F. Burke at 87 years of age, long time Medford resident passed away at home on March 7, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. Late Veteran of the U. S. Army WWII.

He was the beloved husband of Frances (Knox) Burke with whom he shared sixty one years of marriage. He was the loving father of Richard, Jr. of Medford, Laura DeMattia and her husband Michael of Bellingham, David and his wife Dorothy of Medford, Stephen of Everett and Janice Burke Rutman of Medford. He was the father-in-law of Janet Burke.

He was the cherished grandfather of Melanie and Stephen Burke, Jacqueline, Julia and Sarah Burke, Lauren and Adam DeMattia, Jacob Rutman and the late Christopher Burke. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the devoted brother of the late John, William and Jacqueline Burke.

A funeral Mass will be held in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at the Medford line on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 9:00 A.M. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours will be in the Cincotti Funeral Home, 421 High Street, Medford, MA on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Hallmark Health, VNA and Hospice, 178 Savin Street, Malden, MA 02148.
